How Dominate is LL Cool J In the Hip-hop Game

During the time of auto tune and basement production, not everyone knows how mighty LL COOL J was in his prime. He was the 16-year-old kid with a fantastic flow and the looks of an Adonis. LL Cool J established himself early as a Hip-hop artist and actor. Appearing in films like “Krush Groove” Any Given Sunday” and “Deep blue Sea.  Most recently, you can catch LL Cool J on the hit television show “NCIS: Los Angeles.”

Back Ground of the Lyrical genius

LL Cool JLL Cool J was boor on January 14, 1968, in Long Island New York. He grows up in New York City. He would learn everything about the growing culture and take it to the next level. After establishing himself as a lyrical talent, he adopted the name LL COOL J, which stood for Ladies Love Cool J.  The rest was history because ladies do love cool J., In fact, most of his music is geared toward pleasing the ladies, but he remains hard for the guys. LL has managed to have it all. An acting career, liked by the ladies and respected in the streets.

Musical Career

In 1984 LL cool J signed a deal with Def Jam Records and released the smash hit “I need a beat.”  His success was amazing, and his first released sold more than one hundred thousand copies.  After leaving school to pursue music full time, he released the smash album “Radio.”  Filled with hits such as “I Can’t Live Without My Radio” and “Rock The Bells,” LL Had arrived. He separated himself from the pack and became a Hip-hop superstar.  His debut album would sell more than one million copies. Which was an amazing feat for a Hip-hop artist.

In 1987 LL proved he was no one-hit wonder and released the follow-up album “Bigger and Deffer.”  This project would become one of the most important of his career, due to the hit “I Need Love.”  He would find himself on the Pop and Hip-hop charts. Due to the success of “I Need Love’ and round the way girl” LL would become a household name. He would end the year by winning the first of his many Grammys.

Legacy of the G.O. A. T.

The Legacy of LL expands far beyond that of the average Hip-hop artist. A trendsetter with the ability to charm artist on and off screen. LL proves the epitome of a successes story will maintain street credibility. Consider his lyrical ability to destroy an emcee such as “Cannabis,” “Kool Moe D,” ‘MC Hammer” or “Ice T.”   Freestyle or studio track, there are few willing to ignore his lyrical ability.

Beyond Music

In November 2017, he completed the Business of Entertainment Media & Sports program at Harvard University.  Apparently, there are some LL Cool Jaspects of LL Cool J that the public has yet to learn. As a Harvard Business School Graduate, is he prepared to become the next great music executive? Is it possible that he is thinking beyond music? When asked about goals he stated, “Once you achieve one goal, you should be looking forward to trying to build onto the next thing, and not just getting comfortable with what you’re doing.” Based upon his track record, experience and 85 million dollar net worth, LL Cool J will succeed at anything he pursues.
